I would like to send you my most sincere thanks.

Just the other day a friend was asking me if it was possible for
someone to come to Japan and not get laid. I told him I was sure it
was possible but I could not come up with any examples of it actually
happening.

If it were not for you providing us with such a wonderful example of
people so socially inept that they could go to Japan and NOT get laid
I would not have believed it was possible. And not just 1 but more
then 100 examples in your happy sausage fest.

I never said interviewed, I said met. And it was several thousand over a
span of 17 1/2 years, not tens of thousands. I've been back here for a month
and I've probably met another 100, despite the fact that I'm no longer
single. Let's see there are the 40 or so working here at MoFo, there were
the 8 or so that I met when I went to Softbank the other day. There were the
5 or so when I went to visit Fujikura the other day. There were the 20 or 30
that I met as my wife and I were being taken around to look at apartments
over the last few weeks. There were the two sitting behind us last weekend
at the recycle sale...why is this so difficult for you to envision Brett?

No it's not difficulty to imagine. I met 200 people of the train
this morning, and another 30 or so on the subway. Unfortunately I
forgot to ask them all detailed questions so I could use this
information 20 years later to impress people with my extensive
knowledge of Japan.

No it's not difficulty to imagine. I met 200 people of the train
this morning, and another 30 or so on the subway. Unfortunately I
forgot to ask them all detailed questions so I could use this
information 20 years later to impress people with my extensive
knowledge of Japan.

I didn't say they entered my field of vision, I said met, as in speak with,
exchange names. And the claim was made in the context of your assertion that
I wasn't very familiar with the names of Japanese women. For that purpose I
should include everyone for whom I've ever even seen a name tag or whose
name I've seen on a list, although I'm not.
